Kreide

Keeping score in tabletop games, without pen and paper.

Privacy PolicyAs of: 6 October 2026DE · EN

In short

Kreide works without an account. In that case your games, player names and scores stay exclusively on your device – they are not transferred anywhere.

Only when you create an account do we process data on servers: your email address, a display name and, if you want, a backup of your games.

There is no advertising, no tracking, no sharing with third parties for advertising purposes and no analysis of your behaviour.

Which data is processed

Without an account

If you use Kreide without an account, no personal data is transferred to us. Game types, players, scores and the course of a game are stored exclusively locally on your device. We have no access to them.

To let you browse the game library, the app retrieves published rule sets from our server. For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted in the process, as with any visit to a website. It is not stored permanently and not linked to you.

Signing in with Apple or Google

If you sign in with “Sign in with Apple”, we receive an identifier and an email address. If you use Apple's option to hide your address, we only receive a relay address and never your real one.

When you sign in with Google, we receive an identifier and your email address. Which data Apple and Google themselves process in the course of this is governed by their own privacy policies.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, a technical report is sent to our service provider Sentry: device type, operating system version and the place in the program where the error occurred. These reports are set up so that they contain no email address and none of the content of your games.

Purchases

If you decide to buy us a coffee, the purchase is handled entirely through the App Store. We receive no payment data, no credit card number and no billing address – only the information from Apple that a purchase has taken place.

Legal bases

For users in the EU and the EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation applies:

In Switzerland, processing is governed by the Federal Act on Data Protection.

Who processes the data

We work with the following service providers. The required data processing agreements are in place with all of them.

ServiceTaskServer location
SupabaseAccounts, database, backupsFrankfurt, Germany (EU)
AppleApp distribution, sign-in, purchasesaccording to Apple
GoogleSign-in with a Google accountaccording to Google
SentryCrash reportsaccording to Sentry

Beyond that we do not pass data on. There are no advertising networks, no analytics services and no sale of data.

What is publicly visible

If you publish a rule set in the game library, the following is visible to all users: the name of the rule set, the rules themselves, any description and instructions, and your display name.

Your email address is never shown publicly.

Think about which display name you choose. You can change it at any time in the settings, and you can withdraw a published rule set at any time.

How long data is stored

Data on your device stays there until you delete the app or reset it in the settings.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time directly in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account.

This deletes: your email address, your display name, your backup and all rule sets you have published. If you signed in with Apple, the link to your Apple ID is removed as well.

The data on your device is kept – afterwards the app simply continues to work without an account, as it did before you signed in. If you want to remove that data too, delete the app or reset it in the settings.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing that is based on legitimate interest.

An email to mateo.vetsch@iyoo.ch is enough. We reply as quickly as possible, within one month at the latest.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, in the EU the data protection authority of your country of residence.

Security

Transmission between the app and the servers is encrypted. Access to stored data is restricted by access rules at database level so that each account can only access its own data.

Nobody can guarantee complete security. Should a personal data breach occur, we will inform the persons affected and the competent authority in accordance with the legal requirements.

Children and young people

Kreide is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that an account has been created by a child under 13, we delete it.

The app itself can be used without an account and without any data transfer, and in this form it is also unproblematic for younger children.

Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy, for example when new features are added. You will always find the current version at https://iyoo.ch/Kreide/en/. In the case of significant changes we will point them out in the app.
